I’ve worked in manufacturing plants, newspaper offices, veterinary clinics, insurance companies, not-for-profit organizations, retail stores, and even a daycare center! I’ve pretty much done it all. But, none of those jobs satisfied me. I hated working outside the home. I hated having to get up at the crack of dawn and battle the rush hour traffic to get to work. I hated having to abide by someone else’s schedule. I hated earning a pittance compared to what my bosses were earning – while I did all the hard work. But most importantly, I hated feeling like I had no FREEDOM. I was locked in a vicious cycle that I didn't know In July 2003, I was given a great gift (that's how I see it now, anyway At first I was terrified, like most people are when they lose their job. But the moment I stepped outside that building for the last time, I felt such an incredible rush of happiness and freedom. I felt like I had been released from prison. I Made a Promise To Myself Right Then . . . No more working at a crappy job! No more living by someone else's schedule! I was going to create a successful career working from home - and NEVER go back to a "regular" job again. I kept that promise to myself, and I can honestly say that I LOVE my work now. I set my own hours. I can take time off if I want to. I don't have to dress up to go to work. My commute is literally 2 minutes long.
